Melanie Goldberg, MACP

Registered Psychotherapist

“All parts of you have a story—and all are welcome here. When we approach our inner world with curiosity rather than judgment, change becomes possible.”

I am a caring and supportive psychotherapist with a focus on grief, loss, and trauma. I work with adults, offering a holistic and compassionate space for navigating life transitions, emotional pain, and mental health concerns, with an emphasis on healing, reflection, and growth.

My relational, person-centred approach places the therapeutic relationship at the heart of the work. I believe clients are the experts in their own lives, and I strive to create a safe, respectful space where experiences can be explored with curiosity and care. As a therapist, I meet you where you are and support you in making choices and changes that feel meaningful and aligned.

I practice using a trauma-informed Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach, integrating attachment theory and polyvagal theory. This framework allows us to gently understand protective patterns, strengthen self-compassion, and support greater emotional balance. I am IFS Level 1 trained.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO #15456) and a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO #9230863). I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. My background as a community and palliative care nurse deepens my appreciation for the complexities of grief, wellness, and the mind-body connection.
