Monique Shaw

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Therapy is like shining a light on the path ahead, offering clarity and a new perspective. My goal is to walk alongside you, creating a space where you feel truly seen and heard while guiding you toward understanding yourself, your emotions, and your relationships. Using evidence-based techniques, I help clients navigate challenges, uncover obstacles, and develop healthier patterns to support healing, growth, and renewal.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling and Spirituality from Saint Paul University, specializing in Couple and Family Therapy. My approach is client-centered, strength-based, and trauma-informed, supporting youth (14+), young adults, individuals, couples, and families.

With over 18 years of experience working with diverse populations in Southeast Asia and Canada, I bring a culturally sensitive and holistic perspective to my practice. I integrate therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Somatic Therapy, as well as techniques focused on finding meaning and purpose.

My priority is to create a safe, inclusive space where clients feel supported and empowered to navigate life transitions, relational challenges, and personal growth. Together, we will work toward healing, renewal, and wholeness.
