Melanie Goldberg, MACP
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Mental and physical health are deeply interconnected. When mental well-being improves, it often directly impacts physical health, including improved immune function, better sleep, and reduced risk of chronic diseases.
I am a compassionate and dedicated psychotherapist (qualifying) specializing in grief and loss, relationship difficulties and trauma. I help individuals aged 18 and up navigate life transitions and mental health challenges.
My person-centred approach, which places the therapeutic relationship at its core, offers significant benefits. It provides a safe space for clients to explore their unique experiences, fostering resilience, healing, and personal growth. As a guide, I meet you where you are, helping you make choices and changes in your life.
I practice using a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach, integrating several therapeutic modalities from contemporary psychodynamic and attachment theory, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), polyvagal theory and IFS-informed therapy.
As a registered psychotherapist (qualifying ) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists (15456) and a registered nurse with the College of Nurses (9230863), I bring a wealth of life experience and expertise to my practice. I hold a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, and my career as a community and palliative nurse has provided me with a unique perspective on wellness and the mind-body connection.
