Melanie Goldberg, BScN

Counselling Intern / Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

After working in community nursing and palliative care as a registered nurse for 30 years, I recently embarked on a new journey to become a psychotherapist.

I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life transitions, grief and loss and mental health challenges. I incorporate a holistic approach to understanding your physical, emotional, and social history and utilize cognitive behavioural, emotionally focused and solution-focused therapy. I believe in developing a safe, supportive, and collaborative relationship with you, identifying goals, and building on your strengths to make meaningful changes in your life. I view myself as a guide, meeting you where you are and seeking to understand your unique life experiences to help you make choices and find solutions.

I am grateful to be offering counselling services as an intern at The Lighthouse – Le Phare Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists.
